The Worlds

Three connected realities

The Fire Tree series moves between the world we know, the peaceful Inner World, and the vast magical Outer World.

Each world holds a different kind of truth — and each asks something different of those who enter.

Another World

Another World is the world we know: the world of ordinary life, work, memory, science, families, cities, and time. Most people live here unaware that other worlds exist.

But some can cross beyond it.

When travelers return from the Inner or Outer World, they come back to the same moment they left — and, for now, they usually forget what happened beyond.

Inner World

The Inner World exists in the same realm as the Outer World, but it is quieter, gentler, and more familiar to human souls. It is a place of villages, coastlines, forests, simple lives, and hidden transitions.

Some people arrive here after passing on in Another World. Others may enter while still alive, though few understand how or why.

Real magic belongs mostly to the Outer World, but the Inner World still holds magical places: forgotten caves, enchanted springs, whispering forests, and trials that reveal more than they explain.

Outer World

The Outer World is the realm of true magic.

It is enormous, ancient, wild, and largely unexplored. Dragons live there. Trials wait there. Old powers still shape the land.

Only a few people can enter, and even fewer return unchanged.

More places will be revealed as the series continues.
